Cờ Đỏ của CSVN trong chương trình Cooking Show "Plate of Origin" do Channel 7 tổ chức tối ngày 30/8/20

BCH NVTD/NSW đã gởi thư đến văn phòng khiếu nại của Channel 7 vào ngày thứ Sáu 27/8/2020 để phản đối việc này và bày tỏ quan điểm của Cộng Đồng người Việt tại NSW.

Chúng tôi xin đính kèm thư này để quý đồng hương tham khảo, và sẽ trình bày thêm tin tức trong ngày tới.

Dear Complaints Officer,

RE: Opposition of the Red flag of the Vietnamese Communist Party Being Displayed on TV Program, “Plate of Origin”

We write this letter as it has been brought to our community’s attention that your TV Program, “Plate of Origin”, which premiers on 30 August 2020, will display the Vietnamese Communist Red flag in this season’s episodes, which we strongly oppose. We respectfully request that the offensive red flag be removed from your TV Program and we can provide you with a complimentary Vietnam Yellow flag that represents our community.

The Vietnam Yellow Flag has been recognised by many Councils across Australia as the official flag of the Vietnamese Community in Australia after more than 45 years of settlement, recognising the positive contributions of the Vietnamese Community in building a better Australia, a testament that multiculturalism works.

On the other hand, the Red flag is a symbol of blood, persecution, abhorrent human rights abuses, oppression of freedom of speech and religious freedoms, atrocious disregard for the rule of law. The Red flag does not represent the Vietnamese Community in Australia.

The continual display of the Vietnamese Communist Red flag is insensitive and not acceptable, which would bring offence, sorrow and adverse psychological impact to many Vietnamese Australians, who have fled communist oppression in search for freedom.

The Communist Red flag has no place in democratic Australia. Our position is we will not accept the Red flag to be displayed under any circumstances and as such it cannot be compromised. It is our Community’s strong view that only the Vietnam Yellow flag is acceptable to be displayed in Australia.

We respectfully request immediate action be taken to remove the display of the Communist Red flag from all current and future episodes of the TV Program, “Plate of Origin”.

We thank you in anticipation and look forward to your positive response.
